An antiseptic dip used to paint directly onto an effected area or used as a bath to treat individual fish can be used when introducing new fish to a pond as a preventative it is also effective when used as a swab against Argulus and Fungus
Damage – cause: Accidental when breeding, attacked by heron, sudden disturbance Symptoms: reddish scrapping on body of fish, large open wound, missing scales.
Fin and tail rot – cause: Bacteria Symptoms: blood streaking and rotting away reddish tips to effected area.
Ulcers – cause: Bacteria Symptoms: open sores red looking generally on body of fish.
Argulus – cause: Parasite Symptoms: argulus foliaceus is a species of crustacean in the family argulidae, the fish lice. It is sometimes called the common fish louse. A typical fish louse of genus argulus is very flat with anoval or rounded carapace, two compounded eyes, sucking mouthparts with a piercing stylit, and two suction cups it uses to attach to its host. Found attached on the outside of the fish.
Use at temperatures over 22c
Dosage: 10ml per 40ltr (9Gal)as a bath treatment for 30 minutes keep oxygenated.
10ml per 200ltr (44Gal) as a bath treatment for 10-12 hours keep oxygenated.
When placing fish into a Permanganate bath it is advised to keep checking that the fish are not under undue stress, use water from the pond to make up the bath this will enable you to remove the fish from the bath back to the pond quickly should the need arise.

10ml per 400ltr (88Gal) To help with the removal of organic waste and increase oxygen levels. Do not repeat for 10 Days.
